The Certificate in CAD Draughting and Design (Level 4) is offered via distance learning (22 weeks). It is a full time course studied from home and supported by your tutors, with periodic tutorials delivered at CAD Training, Rotorua.
The content in this practical course builds on and reinforces the skills developed in the Certificate in CAD Draughting (Level 3) and is structured to be industry relevant with a stronger emphasis on design skills.
In addition to common core components, the course allows you to choose a specialised engineering or architectural strand. In this hands-on course, you will learn to produce drawings for the Engineering and/or Architectural industries.
You will learn to produce multi-disciplined drawings with AutoCAD, Auto Desk Inventor and SketchUp using more advanced techniques.
Entry requirements: Completion of the Certificate in CAD Draughting (Level 3) or equivalent qualifcation and/or relevant experience.
An interest in and working knowledge of either architectural, engineering or related applications is recommended.
